Nella pianura veronese molto fitta è la rete dei canali creata ed irregimentata in origine dalla Repubblica di Venezia ed in seguito dalle grandi bonifiche che hanno strappato agli acquitrini le Grandi Valli Veronesi. In tempi relativamente recenti tra i territori dei Comuni di Ronco all'Adige e Roverchiara le canalizzazioni erano per lo più a servizio del drenaggio delle cave di argilla ora riconvertite quasi tutte in attività di pesca sportiva. La foto ritrae quest'ultima fattispecie. Tanti auguri di Buon Anno
