E' la Vigilia di Natale, è il mio secondo giorno di ferie, e mentre tutti sono indaffarati alla corsa sfrenata per la ricerca dell'ultimo regalo, io ho solo una gran voglia di farmi qualche scatto ad un bel tramonto. La giornata promette bene, il cielo è sereno e limpido. Preparo tutta l'attrezzatura e decido di partire da Milano alle 15:30, destinazione Lago di Pusiano e più precisamente il lungolago di Bosisio Parini. Il mio obiettivo è quello di impadronirmi del pontile Eupilio, un punto che conosco abbastanza bene e dal quale si gode uno dei migliori tramonti di tutta la zona. Le giornate invernali poi sono le migliori perché offrono tramonti infuocati. Giungo al parcheggio in perfetto orario, sono le 16.15 ed i sole è ancora alto. Mentre mi dirigo verso il pontile, mi fermo un paio di volte per fare qualche scatto al volo. Riprendo a camminare e con mio grande stupore, non c'è molta gente, ed il pontile è libero ... cosa rarissima. La felicità è a mille. Salgo sul pontile, la temperatura è gradevole, siamo attorno ai 10 °C, lo conquisto ed inizio a montare il tutto, treppiede, Reflex, intervallometro e filtro ND1000. Inizio a scattare, ma è solo quando scende il sole all'orizzonte, che la Natura dipinge questo spettacolo. Sono le 16.52 e la luce inizia a diminuire, quindi devo lavorare in BULB.
