#Wild #Bianco #White Il narciso nostrano, o narciso tazzetta, è una specie a distribuzione stenomediterranea presente allo stato spontaneo in tutte le regioni d'Italia salvo che in Piemonte, Valle d'Aosta e nelle regioni del Nord-est. Nella città di Roma la specie ha una distribuzione molto sparsa, che però si estende dal centro storico all'estrema periferia; nel Parco di Villa Torlonia è poco frequente. Cresce in praterie umide e pascoli montani su terreni freschi, dal livello del mare alla fascia montana inferiore. Viene frequentemente coltivato a scopo ornamentale e a volte appare allo stato subspontaneo anche al di fuori dell'areale originario, soprattutto presso gli abitati. Tutte le parti della pianta sono velenose per la presenza di diversi alcaloidi. Il nome generico deriva dal greco 'narkao' (stordire), e si riferisce all'intenso odore dei fiori delle specie a fiore bianco; da esso deriva il nome di Narciso nella mitologia greca; il nome specifico si riferisce alla corolla a forma di piccola tazza. Forma biologica: geofita bulbosa. Periodo di fioritura: marzo-maggio, al sud anche in autunno-inverno.
