Ciao Stefano, grazie del commento. Il 200-500 l'ho preso a dicembre e l'ho usato pochissimo perché dalle mie parti ha nevicato a diverse riprese e il tempo non permetteva uscite.
È troppo presto giudicare l'obiettivo. Le prime sensazioni tuttavia sono positive e posso affermare che corrisponde alle mie aspettative. La costruzione è molto buona, ci si accorge subito di avere in mano un obiettivo di qualità. Per quanto riguarda le prestazioni ho l'impressione che sono molto buone già a tutta apertura (a 500mm) e sicuramente ottime chiudendo di un paio di diaframmi. La stabilizzazione è eccellente. L'AF non è istantaneo ma comunque veloce come ci si aspetta da un moderno zoom. Quelle poche foto che ho fatto di uccelli in volo promettono future soddisfazioni. Aspetto con impazienza di tornare in certi posti dove ero sempre troppo corto con il 300mm f4 D ED.
Il peso dell'obiettivo si fa sentire sulle braccia se devi fotografare dall'alto al basso, sopra la testa. Funziona ma la posizione diventa subito faticosa. Altro punto da tenere presente è l'ingombro maggiore di un 70-200 f2.8. Ho comperato un sacco più capiente.
Il 200-500 supera alcune limitazioni che avevo con l'eccellente 300 fisso: +200mm; focale variabile e stabilizzazione.
Il prezzo è decisamente basso (per Nikon) e assolutamente concorrenziale con obiettivi di terze parti. Rifarei l'acquisto.
