I like less, however, the decision to give so little contrast: it will be that I like the black and white contrasted, but I think you should try to give a little 'more contrast in the area of ??the stem of the mushroom, without, however, increasing the white , which I think are great.
In addition, I composed the image differently (while maintaining the square cut, which I like), cutting the wall and perhaps using the lens wide open and get closer to the subject to get a shallower depth of field and therefore a greater detachment from background.

Mi piace meno, però, la scelta di dare così poco contrasto: sarà che a me piace il bianco e nero contrastato, ma secondo me dovresti provare a dare un po' più di contrasto nella zona del gambo dei funghi, senza però incrementare i bianchi, che secondo me vanno benissimo.
Inoltre, avrei composto l'immagine diversamente (pur mantenendo il taglio quadrato, che mi piace), tagliando parte del muretto e magari utilizzando l'obiettivo spalancato ed avvicinandoti di più al soggetto per avere una minore profondità di campo e quindi un maggiore distacco dallo sfondo.
