La Torre di Londra è un castello storico situato sulla riva nord del Tamigi nel centro di Londra. Si trova all'interno del London Borough of Tower Hamlets, separato dal margine orientale della città di Londra da uno spazio aperto conosciuto come Tower Hill. Fu fondata verso la fine del 1066 come parte della conquista normanna dell'Inghilterra. La Torre Bianca, che conferisce all'intero castello il nome, fu edificata da Guglielmo il Conquistatore nel 1078, ed è stata un simbolo di risentita oppressione inflitta a Londra dai nuovi sovrani. Il castello è stato utilizzato, a partire dal 1100, come prigione fino al 1952 anche se questo non fu mai il suo scopo principale. Il palazzo servì anche come residenza reale.
