Una situazione di luce davvero desueta mi ha consentito di scattare questa foto. Versante occidentale dell'Etna che gode di tramonti mozzafiato. L'ultima luce della giornata viene sezionata su più livelli da delle nubi che si trovavano in linea con il Sole. Risultato, il vulcano illuminato in modo selettivo, il resto in ombra ad eccezione di una larga colata lavica fuoriuscita nell'eruzione del 1763 da Monte Nuovo, che si intravede in lontananza. In epoche più recenti (Gennaio-Marzo del 1974) si sono aggiunti altri due coni avventizi, Monti De Fiore I e II (sempre distinguibili osservando bene la foto). Il tramonto incredibilmente illumina la lingua di lava seguendone il suo andamento e la 'riscalda' come a voler ricordare i momenti in cui si riversò sulla valle. Un modo simbolico per riportarla in vita. Una coincidenza che mi ha colpito tantissimo e che sono contento di potervi mostrare.
