Not ideal shooting conditions but I thought it worth posting for those of you who are interested in less usual insects! My first thought was that it looked like a plastic toy.There was a group of small children 'playing' with this insect. I managed to stop them just long enough to get one or two record shots before it flew off. I've done a little research and believe it's a longhorn beetle: Sternotomis itzingeri.
