at 234mm, 1/200 f/5.0, ISO 10000, hand held.

Botswana. Appena vediamo scendere madre e cucciolo di leopardo dall'albero su cui avevano passato la serata, ci appostiamo in assoluto silenzio ad un centinaio di metri, nella direzione scelta dal nostro esperto ranger alla guida della jeep. La scelta si dimostra giusta. Fortuna vuole che il piccolo passi proprio sotto ad un arco naturale costituito da due grandi vecchi tronchi e che la madre, naturalmente, lo segua. Sotto la luce che Maurizio Ferrari manda a tratti gli scatti si susseguono, anche se quelli buoni, con esposizione a 10.000 ISO, sono ben pochi. Occorrerebbe contemporaneamente combinare un tempo di scatto utile per fermare il loro movimento (specie del leopardino) ed un diaframma sufficientemente chiuso per mettere a fuoco entrambi. Con la luce della torcia e la distanza non indifferente ho invece dovuto scattare a mano libera con 1/200 e 10.000 ISO, aprendo quasi al massimo il diaframma. La foto andrebbe guardata come scena d'insieme senza cercare il pelo a fuoco. Nella fattispecie ho puntato la mamma e non il cucciolo. Questo credo sia il migliore dei miei scatti che per me è fonte di un ricordo ed un'emozione impagabili. Grazie WNP per avermi fatto vivere una scena insperata.
