Taken late on a cold winter's afternoon, a few days after the Terror Incident on Westminster Bridge, back in February. The Bridge was almost immediately back to its usual, bustling, busy chaotic state, carrying iconic red buses, black taxi cabs and people of every sort.
I liked the quite slow shutter speed I inadvertently had the camera set to, the lens' VR controlling camera shake (maximum zoom) and how this made the swirling gulls blurred, adding movement to this otherwise static snapshot of repetitive, ordinary, everyday London life.
So, not a tourist shot, but a journalistic Street one. And I have left all the birds in as they were. It's not meant to be perfect, because London certainly is not that. And I like the view under and beyond the bridge too... |
