The Military Area landscape where they go tank training.
Taken half an hour before the clouds eventually completely cleared, allowing me the view the other direction in the black and white 'My Long Walk to the Moon'.
Five tanks had rumbled up that dirt track you see about 15 minutes earlier. (which I would never photograph and the sun was not out then in any case)
The markers show where archaeological sites of interest lie and that military - or indeed, any - vehicles are prohibited from driving over them! (Honestly - and truthfully). |
