A beautiful Ectophasia sp. fly, found in one of the last macro sessions of 2017.

37 mixed light exposures made with Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens, Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, focus step 2.

Thanks all for the kind comments! Sorriso

@ Luigi Casetta - focus step 2 means the interval in micrometers between exposures. At Olympus focus step is between 1 (the smallest) and 10 (the largest). The value in mm of each step is not known unfortunately.

Thank you Cristian. But is the step related to the lens or the sled?

avatarsenior

To the lens. Sorriso

You don't need a sled for Olympus cameras, the stacking/bracketing is done automatically by the camera. This only works with selected Oly macro and Pro lenses. It doesn't work with other MFT lenses.

Now I get it. Thank you Cristian. :-)
