Nella zona sud-orientale di Kyoto visitiamo il santuario Shintoista Fushimi-Inari Taisha famoso per i centinaia di torii arancioni che formano delle suggestive gallerie. All'ingresso si notano due bellissime statue di volpi e durante la visita se ne scorgono molte altre di pietra; questo animale è considerato il messaggero di Inari, il dio del riso e dell'agricoltura, ma nella tradizione giapponese è anche considerato una creatura sacra e misteriosa.
