Endless shame sent on October 26, 2017 (14:23) by Francesco_lear. 15 comments, 1142 views. [retina]

at 400mm, 1/640 f/5.6, ISO 125, hand held. Bandhavgarh National Park, India. Specie: Panthera tigris

I'm sorry to read this story but I have the impression that there is to be pessimistic, as you say, about their future. Unless somebody intervenes in a very authoritative way: so it is important to divulge this information :-)

There is no limit to the power of money ... In this global world, unfortunately, everything has a price and these are scandalous results. Hello

Beautiful shot but such a terribly sad story. TristeTriste
I will add that on most occasions the poachers themselves are poor people that will make relatively little money from this tragedy. It is the wealthy foreign traders that place no value on the sanctity of animal life that profit the most from this heinous crime.
Educating the young people in countries like China and other countries that erroneously believe that there is some medicinal value in animal products is the only hope for the future of these magnificent creatures. It has to be a generational change in thinking.

Unfortunately, you will always find someone who for money acts scrupulously.
If then with beliefs and traditions ...
Thanks for the document and the fantastic shot.

Thanks Fabio, Piergiovanni, Marco, Stefano and Ignazio, your comments are precious! I wanted to publish the photo for lighter and more photographic purposes, but after hearing the news I could not imagine anything.

@Brian I totally agree with you, in fact I blame at first foreign traders, then forest department (corruption inside national reserve) and just last the poachers. It's a very sad story especially for people like me and you who recently saw her cubs almost every day.
