Hi Ivan, I visited your very beautiful and well-made gallery that looks at animals most ignored by man (but I like them a lot).
This photo, in particular, unlike the others, however, is artificial but I do not know if the blow of flashes together with the setting is too perfect .... in the whole it leaves me doubtful, even though it has succeeded.

Hi Stefano

Thank you Alessandro I like that you like and thank you Stefano for visiting the gallery but above all for the sincere opinion you gave me about this photo, it makes me very happy.
As for the realization maybe a mix of different lights that make it so, I post in production I did little or nothing while in shooting mode I used two flashes to illuminate the subject that was partially shaded, the rest did made the ambient light, it was cloudy at times, and a cloud in the clouds brought in the warm late afternoon light that illuminated the maceration.

I'm glad you're not overwhelmed. Sometimes you are afraid to say what you think ... Returning to the theme is probably the difference in color temperature between the two lights that causes this impression along with the shadows that fall in the background towards the target and the subject in the foreground disappear .
Maybe I'm a bit fickle but I felt like telling you. Congratulations though especially for the unusual subjects of your great photos. Hi Stefano

I did not take it at all ... :-) I really appreciate it and you are right, but unfortunately in this kind of shot where the subject is a few inches from the lens it is often necessary to use the flash otherwise the subject is dark or even in the shade of the camera itself and my body ... The harder then is to manage the artificial light so that it does not give it too much to see and try not to create an overly artificial effect ... Sometimes it is better than others and probably in this case you could do better ... :-)

Maybe there are filters for flash ... once existed. Hello

For classic speedlights there should still exist but for this kind of photos I use a special flash that has 2 small flashers placed in the terminal part of two articulated braces ... Hi
