The albinos you refer to are there but are settled on the island of Asinara: contrary to what you think its name is not derived from the word "donkey" but from the Latin word "sinuaria", or sinuous. :)

Grazie per il commento Agata! Allora questo è il classico asinello bianco sardo (probabilmente importato in antichità dall'Egitto). Gli albini a cui fai riferimento ci sono ma sono stanziati nell'isola dell'Asinara: al contrario di quello che si pensa il suo nome non deriva dalla parola "asino" ma dal termine latino "sinuaria", ovvero sinuosa. :)
