Il Sand River è un fiume nel Masai Mara al confine con la Tanzania. Solitamente povero d'acqua e ricco di sabbia, da qui il nome. E' un area poco frequentata vista la sua collocazione, dove però a fine stagione si concentrano le mandrie per la migrazione di ritorno.
