Thanks a lot to Alessandro, Ardian and Ale. I agree with you on the lack of space at the top. It was not a deliberate choice, indeed. Unfortunately, it was just the wrong shot during the shot. I saw the scene suddenly and I jumped very quickly. The focal distance was quite high (480mm, consistent approaching the image) and subjects not far away, subjects covering almost the entire scene. The flamingos were slightly stretched upwards as I jumped and surprised me by losing the perfect shot.
For detail questions I always try to use the maximum possible focal length (Even though I do not touch the 600mm, the image softens a bit) for having little crop in post production. Unfortunately this is risky sometimes I lose a fraction ofsubject.
Grazie mille Alessandro, Ardian e Ale. Sono d'accordissimo con voi sulla mancanza di spazio nella parte superiore. Non è stata una scelta voluta, anzi. Purtroppo è stata proprio l'inquadratura sbagliata durante lo scatto. Ho visto la scena improvvisamente ed ho scattato molto rapidamente. La distanza focale era piuttosto alta (480mm, consistente avvicinamento dell'immagine) ed i soggetti non lontanissimi, soggetti che coprivano quasi tutta la scena. I fenicotteri si sono leggermente allungati verso l'alto mentre scattavo e mi hanno sorpreso facendomi perdere la perfetta inquadratura.
Per questioni di dettaglio cerco sempre di utilizzare il massimo della focale possibile (anche se prefersco non toccare i 600mm, l'immagine si ammorbidisce un po') per dover effettuare poco crop in post produzione. Purtroppo questo è rischioso nelle scene dinamiche (come in questo caso) e talvolta perdo una frazione di soggetto. I due fenicotteri hanno litigato spostandosi parecchio nell'inquadratura. Ho tenuto questo scatto perché sembra che il fenicottero di destra abbracci con un'ala il fenicottero di sinistra come un vero amico. Mi sembrava una scena molto simpatica e tenera vista anche l'espressione dei protagonisti. Nelle scene successive uno dei due becca l'altro sul collo. Poi la pace
