1/250 f/3.8, ISO 400, hand held.

Hello Trackmaster, thanks for the comment and appreciation.
I think the merit of the beautiful colors also goes to the day when I shot, really particular, and the sensor of the D80 that good CCD has an unparalleled palette.
To be honest that lens I have a little ' pushed aside, since having stayed for many years in the closet has made a little ' mushroom.
Maybe I could get it cleaned up even if I don't know how worthwhile it is.
to the eye and cross it seems to me that the lenses of my current outfit are all better, but given your positive comment maybe I'll make a thought.
What do you think?

Well if you do not spend so much money to make it clean up I think it's worth. Sometimes it's the coupled optical sensor that makes the difference.
I have in 70-210 AF of 88 and my favorite optics for the beautiful colors it makes.

The Nikon 70-210 f4?
If that is what I had done a thought too, even if it is difficult to find, especially for specimens in good condition.
As for the 35-135, the fact is that then I bought a Sigma 18-125 OS that seems better/more modern and does not have the limitations of 35-135.
Keep it abandoned in a drawer a bit annoys me, but my fear is that to clean it thoroughly ask for more money than it is worth or the cost of a good used more or less equivalent.

Quotas The Nikon 70-210 f4?

Is it true that he suffers with strong lights? /QUOTE
Yes the F4. I never had any problems on the d300s than on the old F80. CMQ There goes mounted the hood, without losing a bit ' quality at the edges and there is some reflection, but with the lens hood especially on APSC with sensors not too dense is the top!!! (I found a compatible metal lens hood on Amazon, the original hardly found).
In fact I would take a d80 or a d200 to pair it to the CCD sensor
