With long exposures (more than 30s) of day with ND1000 I know I always have a lot of noise and loss of detail, logically especially in dark areas but not only, it's probably a limit on my car's sensor overheating that not even the option of noise reduction can improve. So now when I shoot a long day show I always try to do an extra click without ND filter or better 5 bracketing shots so in the end I have 6 shots covering the whole range and then quietly choose home those useful.
