Dlla forcella Giau si arriva dopo una ripida salita...ma ne vale la pena ,si vedono le tofane il passo Giau ,e dalla forcella si entra nella valle di mondeval e si raggiunge il lago delle baste, per me un posto stupendo, sembra di essere tornati in dietro di millenni, qua sono stato trovati i resti dell uomo di mondeval risalente al mesolitico , e' il piu alto ritrovamento preistorico del mondo.
