beautiful moment caught!
More natural colors of the Martin would definitely be a nice picture but it seems almost fake.

Bella the shooting scene, under the roost stands a fine insect looks like a mosquito. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
With Martin in full light PP requires a very particular, to use the saturation in a selective way, the red parts in if you are already very soothing and if you add saturation details are compromised, so for whites burn easily, a quick and easy way is to store them with a level copy of the bottom act with the tonal values ??and retrieve previously saved white with the brush variable transparency bordering the max before burn and more!! of course there are many other methods!

Thank you all for the welcome and helpful comments.
The shot is actually saturated. PP but I did not work on the colors, or rather, I spoke desaturate the bottom.
On Martino I mainly recovered shadows. All with LR4. In, the actions I need advice or Photoshop can do it too with LR? (Excuse the demand but are not much of a girlfriend as regards PP).
I made a copy of the shot without interventions in PP:
www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=249273&srt2=new&show2=1&l
I'd really like it if, comparing it with that reworked, still gave me some tips. :-)
Thanks again

@ Victor .. I do not know how to set the camera during shooting, I usually shoot in RAW all set to neutral (see tips Juza) and then try to compensate for the lights shadows sharpness Etc.. I have not made too many mistakes during shooting is the ideal setting for optimal results. I visited the photo without modification .. but the Raw jpg modified for the occasion or shots directly in JPG? seeing it is very difficult to recover the whites and more!

@ In: Shooting in RAW only, and with the benefit of inventory (I'm going to check right, I was using the 7D to my wife that I had "stolen" the 1D MkIV), all set to neutral. In fact, the martin was in full light, so much so that in PP (with LR4) I put the whites to -100.
Take this opportunity to thank you again! :-)

I did a quick PP with the method I used previously described using the photos you've placed unchanged, do not look any inaccuracy is only demo (with the RAW file the result is better than on a picture compressed ..)
