Posa B f/6.3, ISO 1000, tripod. Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, Italy.

Really great ...!
Bhè, that the merger with our Milky Way happens "soon" ...... should be about 5 billion years if I'm not wrong!
But Andromeda we see it as it was about 2.5 million years ago, and if it had disappeared in the meantime? Sorry my consideration maybe trivial or wrong, I'm not an expert ...!
Hi and Congratulations

It is unlikely that an entire galaxy will disappear. It was a nebula, a stellar cluster with associated nebulae is correct what you say, it might be very different now in the presentem but a galaxy does not behave like the clouds of gas and dust, it does not disappear. The measured redshift indicates that Milky Way and Andromeda will merge together into an elliptical galaxy launching incredible stars dances, with the possibility of nudging bumps. Thank you for your compliments!
