Nei monti della Laga ci sono dei luoghi che a mio parere sono dei veri è propri “hot spot” del paesaggio dell'Appennino Centrale, cioè delle zone che racchiudono l'essenza dell'intero Appennino grazie a particolari caratteristiche. Alcuni di questi "hot spot" in autunno, grazie ai tipici colori autunnali, diventano ancora più unici, quasi da poter essere definiti impropriamente "endemici”, poiché caratterizzano e rendono i Boschi della Laga diversi da qualsiasi altro bosco. Nascosta fra le fronde, nel cuore del Bosco del Martese, si cela ad esempio la cascata della Morricana, uno dei luoghi più emozionanti dell'Appennino Centrale, con il suo getto d'acqua gelata che precipita fra i faggi colorati."
