Ripresa effettuata in montagna a quota 2.00 metri con rifrattore 90/600 montato su skywatcher HEQ5. Fotocamera canon 1100D fullspectrum.

You did not specify what program you used for processing, in the case of Pixinsight, with that you have the ability to reduce a little alone but only stars and to clean the sky background without denaturing the nebula of M31 in its very amplitude extended. If you could integrate it would be better, but I'm convinced that with fine processing the image would improve a lot ... Sometimes the hardening with the use of denoise, instead of improving the photo, it blushes. In essence, congratulations. Hello

Hi Beppe and thanks for the passage and compliments :-D
In fact on processing I'm a bit uncomfortable and unfortunately I ended the pixinsight trial period (however I'm going to buy the huge software potentials), before I stretched the image with the first free version of pixinsight and the rendered with PS.
On the denoise I agree with you, better a bit loud noise than a watercolor unrelated to reality.

I'm glad you're on the right path as soon as you get back PI that is a bomb ... about me a few photos and under the mediocrity ... this year then the badness got tired beyond decency .... I do not more projects I've seen will hurt me. Hi and wishes with the stars ;-)

hello Nagual, the image has many PP improvements, looking at higher resolutions but I know a lot of things to specially perfect on the background, only denoise treatment can not be enough, but as you wrote the free PI trial it is over because otherwise you could resume processing by paying attention to the SNRC function; a question you converted RAW files to XISF? if this conversion is not done Pixinsight fails to express the potential as it works with non-owned files !!
proceed with your intent to buy it, trusted, the expense will be well repayed by exceptional results ;-) ;-)
A greeting
Riccardo

Thank you Vega advice, in fact I know that money for pixinsight is money spent well ...
