Petrella Tifernina (CB) La Chiesa di San Giorgio Martire. La costruzione della Chiesa di S.Giorgio Martire a Petrella Tifernina(CB) risale al 1211. Dal Web si apprende che nel borgo, situato nella direttrice Roma-Gerusalemme, facevano meta pellegrini provenienti dall'Italia centrale-settentrionale, diretti appunto a Gerusalemme. Si apprende anche che la sacra sindone, diretta a Roma, ha fatto sosta anche in questa chiesa. La chiesa nel 1627 ha subìto un incendio che ha distrutto tutti gli interni, mentre nei primi anni del 1700, ha subìto delle trasformazioni barocche, alterando la costruzione originaria romanica. Nel 1954 Il Genio Civile ha rimosso tutte le trasformazioni e oggi la chiesa presenta ancora il suo antico aspetto romanico, medioevale. Sulla sinistra entrando, la statua di San Giorgio martire- La statua lignea invece, oggi posizionata al lato dell'altare, è stata appena restaurata e lo scorso mese di luglio 2017, riposizionata in chiesa. Ci sono voluti due anni di lavoro per detto restauro, con il contributo volontario di circa 1000 cittadini. #BiancoeNero #BlackAndWhite #hdr #chiese #interni

I appreciate your visit much.
Development has been sought to recreate the atmosphere that breathed in church. Very ancient and all stone.
There are 5 shots in hdr plus a sixth shot for the window at the bottom and its relative reflection on the floor, with very strong light .. In practice I worked the 5 files in hdr with photomatix and the final result I melted, always with photomatix sixth. Whitewashed all in black and white with increased contrast and rising blacks.
