Una delle mie opere più complesse e che ha richiesto più tempo per la realizzazione. Specialmente per quanto riguarda la parte di post-processing delle immagini. L'immagine è stata realizzata unendo per ogni testa 8 focus stack di 15 fino a 25 scatti, i blocchi sono stati poi combinati a mosaico per realizzare l'intera testa per un totale di circa 300 foto combinate insieme. Il focus stack è stato eseguito manualmente così come l'allineamento che lo precede e l'allineamento e ricostruzione del mosaico. Il lavoro ha richiesto circa 40 ore di lavoro al computer e circa 1 ora di lavoro di microscopia. Foto realizzate con AxioCam MrM su Axio Observer.Z1 (Carl Zeiss Microscopy) usando un obiettivo 10x/0.5 NEOFLUAR e luce trasmessa. I soggetti sono zanzare Anopheles gambiae G3 (african malaria mosquito)
