Some specimens, now several years ago, presumably released or fled, nestled among the garden trees of a Garbatella school. Over time, their family expanded, reaching nesting in nearby neighborhoods, such as Saint Paul and the surrounding area, and then increased in number, expanding into more and more parts of the city. :-)
It is amazing how such a small number, an animal seemingly unsuitable for wild life in a city like Rome, has managed to survive even invading so large territories thus proliferating. A bit like incredible is the story of the pair of pilgrim falcons on the roofs of the faculty of economics at Wisdom!
Nature is always surprising, even in the most unbelievable places :-)

WellKind of click, both naturalistic and at this point, of reportage!
