at 200mm, 1/125 f/10.0, ISO 400, hand held. Sólheimajökull Glacier, Iceland.

5 Luglio. La pioggia ci guasta la giornata. Dicevano che in Islanda il tempo cambia continuamente, ma non è sempre così. Non possiamo però farci fermare e cosi raggiungiamo le più famose cascate dell'Islanda, Seljandfoss, Gljúfurárfoss e Skogafoss. Alla pioggia si aggiunge il vento che ci spinge addosso il vapore creato dalle maestose cascate. Se riusciamo ad uscirne semplicemente bagnati dalle prime due dalla terza che vogliamo vedere anche nella parte alta (davvero ne vale la pena) ne usciamo completamente fradici, nonostante l'attrezzatura (mantella, scarpe in goretex ecc. ecc.). Cambiamo scarpe e pantaloni in macchina e proseguiamo. Prossima meta il ghiacciaio Solheimajokull, che raggiungiamo con una deviazione di 4 km. dalla strada principale e un pezzo a piedi. Spettacolare vedere la gente che ramponi e caschetti colorati lo attraversa.
