In effetti la mamma sembra rilassata, in posizione di attacco le orecchie si alzano oltre che apririsi e inoltre sovente alzano e muovono la proboscide. Ne so qualcosa perché ho subito una decina fra minacce e attacchi veri e propri. Solo il driver esperto che ha preparato la via di fuga riesce a scampare all'attacco di questa massa di tonnellate che si muove a 60 KM/h.

" Hai pienamente ragione, io nel 2000 ho assistito allo Tsavo ovest alla carica di un pulmino da parte di una elefantessa preoccupata per il suo cucciolo. Con tre cariche lo ha messo a ruote in su, con i 4 occupanti più driver terrorizzati all'interno. Se ne è andata solo quando ha voluto lei andarsene. I safaristi avevano riportato per fortuna solo escoriazioni e ferite superficiali provocate dai vetri dei finestrini.
