, tripod.

Catania ripresa dall'alto. Amazing and definitely difficult to do because of the many obstacles (light pollution in the first place).
Single shot? If so, Sony has a great dynamic range, perfect lights and well visible milky lights!

Congratulations because just to look at it I said that the photo was really complicated, then I read the caption and thinking that it was the smoke of Etna I realized it was even harder

The result is very nice and you are good at doing so well

A greeting

John

Nice shot Nicolò, especially thanks to the setting; It is uncommon to see a photo of the Milky Way at a city with all the light pollution that this involves: the last time I tried it was over Lugano and after 5 ~ 8 seconds of exposure the sky was already completely Orange! : - /
How did you save the tiny light of the Milky Way? Did you use the //www.youtube.com/watch? V = GOdnzmt1nI8 & feature = magic cloth technique?

Wonderfully beautiful and exciting. It's a genre I want to approach. I understand the difficulties you have described, even though I do not have the pale idea of ??how I will handle it (if I can do it ;-)). Besides, I tell you that it's spectacular to see the lights of a big city, or rather what we call a big city, with the Milky Way overpowering it, making it look like a microscopic entity, an immense space.
Looking at your shot I got the goose's hair.
Very good

Nicolò, take this opportunity to ask for more clarification:
You could point to the methodology (or tutorials they describe) for the easiest solution:
Then with shadowy masks try to find a right compromise.

That the most complex one:
To do a clean job is not enough for simple level masks, but you have to be a little more precise.

The talk of manual blending is clear to me, I'm trying to perfect it with the luminosity mask but I would like to understand how one of the greats you work for, and casomai succeed in emulating it (or at least I try :-D)
Thank you and congratulations again!
