I milanesi la chiamano così "Torta degli Sposi" per la sua forma che richiama vagamente una torta nuziale. Si trova davanti al Castello Sforzesco ed è meta, soprattutto d'estate, di numerosi turisti che trovano rinfrescante sedersi ai bordi della vasca se non addirittura bagnarsi in piedi, incuranti dei divieti. Ha una storia decisamente travagliata. Costruita ed inaugurata in epoca fascista, venne smontata nel 1959 per i lavori di realizzazione della Metropolitana Milanese e rimase per alcuni decenni nei magazzini comunali. Il fatto che a lavori della metropolitana ormai ultimati da anni, la fontana non venisse rimessa al suo posto alimentò la leggenda metropolitana, oggi si direbbe una "fake news", secondo la quale la fontana fosse stata trafugata da Bettino Craxi per ornare il giardino della sua villa di Hammamet. Finalmente, dopo un accurato lavoro di restauro, nel 2000 la fontana tornò al suo posto, arricchita 180 lampade a LED che creano suggestivi giochi di luce. Per questo scatto ho giocato un po' con gli effetti del visualizzatore di foto di Win10, ricavandone un'immagine un po' sognante che trovo adatta all'idea di una torta nuziale. Ma sarà la prima e l'ultima volta che lo faccio, lo prometto:) #Fontana
