#Dragonflies #Odonata #Libellule Lindenia tetraphylla (Vander Linden, 1825) E' la più grande libellula europea della famiglia Gomphidae (70-80 mm). Sia imaschi che le femmine si riconoscono per la colorazione giallo-biancastra e per due caratteristiche espansioni fogliacee che si estendono ventrolateralmente ai segmenti addominali 7° e 8°. Il periodo di volo si estende da maggio ad agosto. Vive in laghi naturali e artificiali di dimensioni medio-grandi e in corsi d'acqua planiziali. In Italia è presente in pochissime stazioni di Toscana, Umbria, Lazio, Campania, Molise e Sardegna. Antiche segnalazioni per il Lazio sono da confermare. FONTE: http://www.odonata.it/
