Sorry what kind is it? Sacred, Lanario? It does not seem like a common rabid ...... compliments, beautiful

An Emerald !!! Was she small? The wings attach to me seem to be far more falcon than fake ......

Ciao Pawel, compliments on your beautiful image of this falcon! I read the previous comments about what species it is, and I think that it's a juvenile Lanner Falcon (Falco Lanario giovane). It isn't a Merlin (Smeriglio) because of the colours and details on the feathers and head. Apart from that Merlin is also a species that breeds in the far North (Scandinavia and Iceland). Between late september and may they migrate South, and then can be seen in Central and Southern Europe. If this is a free living bird (I suppose it is) than it's most likely a juvenile Lanner Falcon. Birds in captivity of falconers are often hybrids and can look very similar to their wild relatives, but often have features of several species. Hopefully I haven't confused you too much?! Regardless of its exact species, it remains a very nice picture! Kind regards, Hans
