at 65mm, 1/100 f/4.0, ISO 1000, hand held. Pompei, Italy.

But I do not know if it is appropriate, I have the feeling of dealing with that image, which belongs to a deceased even if millennium, as a barbarian phenomenon, it seems to me to lack of respect.
And then I am convinced that many souls of that unhappy people are still in the archaeological excavation stones.
And yes, the stones, in every ancient culture, have always been the home of the souls of the dead.

A fascinating image and caption but, to be honest, it makes me feel a little uncomfortable, Alfredo, although I'm not sure why. Perhaps it is because it encapsulates a moment of tragedy, personal to the man. Or perhaps I am simply thinking too much!

Ann :))

I thank everyone for the interest shown in this image.
@Ann: You're right, it's not a nice photo. It tells a tragic event and brings in the violence that has happened and can not therefore be ignored. I think it is important to treat these issues with respect and without morbidity, and for this reason I have published the photo of less emotional impact of the series.

The theme is a bit demanding and the image suffers but I'm glad you enjoyed this photo anyway.
Then thanks Fabrizio, Francesco, Mary, Claudio, Carla, Arvina.
