con Canon EF 2.0x III, 1/1250 f/10.0, ISO 1000, hand held.

durante uno dei miei raid notturni ho visto per ben due volte una coppia di gufi reali.ovviamente loro non si fanno avvicinare ma all'alba si possono pizzicare sulle stesse rocce mentre si scaldano al sole prima di nascondersi.questo lo so bene....quindi alle 2 di notte chiudo gli occhi e punto la sveglia alle 5.00:-(... mi reco sul posto e mi nascondo...alle 6.00 niente gufi...alle 7.00 niente gufi...alle 7.30 niente gufi...poi,in lontananza vedo una testona enorme fra i sassi..è uno dei gufi reali ma stà nascosto e non capisco perchè.mi avrà visto?....alle 8.30 vedo muovere degli arbusti davanti a me, a 70mt (focus meter).....ecco perchè i gufi reali si nascondevano! la loro parete è occupata di giorno da una aquila reale e quindi di notte fanno i padroni ma di giorno...meglio tener la testa bassa:-).aquila mai vista finora in quella zona ma che risiede normalmente ad un centinaio di km.credo quindi esemplare giovane erratico. ora mi rendo conto che qui sul forum ci sono foto di aquile reali fatte da 5mt con cui non si può tecnicamente competere ma la caccia fotografica è emozione e per me emozione vuol dire che non sai cosa c'è dietro l'angolo. nonostante la distanza,MEGLIO IN HD

se poi parliamo di foto "tecnicamente perfette" allora sono il primo a dire che da 70mt non si possono fare e serve un bel capanno a pagamento con pezzi di ciccia.ma quello non è il mio genere.mi dovrò sempre accontentare di queste cose arrangiate.
il racconto l'ho aggiunto perchè mi rendo conto benissimo che "la storia" in questo caso vale più della foto.

il gufo reale viene visto dagli altri rapaci come un nemico mortale ed in questo gioco sono le dimensioni a fare la differenza.i gufi reali uccidono per abitudine astori,poiane,nibbi e falchi appena ne hanno l'occasione.le aquile reali sono fuori portata ed il re della notte deve starsene ben nascosto altrimenti l'aquila lo attaccherà mettendolo in fuga.una grande femmina cercherà anche di ucciderlo.questo esemplare giovane non credo lo farebbe ma lo attaccherebbe comunque.è però interessante notare che i due animali si dividono lo spazio.uno domina la notte e l'altra il giorno.questa però è una zona bassa e piuttosto frequentata.ci sono attorno paesini e coltivi per cui l'aquila se ne andrà presto.il gufo invece ,molto furtivo,sfugge meglio alla pressione umana.
qui si vede come un gufo reale regola la questione.prima si ferma,osserva le vittime e colpisce :
