,

Can you explain the technique?

Claudio ... it's simple ... I did 2 pictures .. one stop and all in focus ... the second I mounted a little stopper filter + polarizer ... and I had about 6 seconds of exposure, so I moved the reflex Up and down ... then I melt the two pictures !!

as I thought. I must say the result and the choice of the point and amount of movement. Congratulations again.

This is one of the most artistic flavors of the whole series, very beautiful the color combinations between the green fern and the trunks of the carbonized trees. It is very clear from the other 5 for the type of achievement, while I find it loyal in the story. ;-)

Interesting effect, juxtaposing two images together, one wonderfully streaked and the other still. I like it!

I fully agree with max expression analysis !!
I really enjoyed Gian this personal way of seeing and representing a sensation / vision through photography .. and these types of work that one can see and define a photographer better! Congratulations :-P

I saw in sequence all the photos, each one being a detail of a forest just as you described it in the caption.
Then I came to this and honestly do not understand.
Why the trunks moved? What should they represent? Does not it seem to you a too different solution that does little to bind to the previous ones?
It will be that I do not especially love the creative moves, for me do not tell much about nature because I always see the photographer who is moving the camera, different the talk of the move long time but this image unlike the previous, I can not appreciate it .
As always imho ;-)

Thank you so much to everyone for your comments and I'm really glad that this "vision" of the landscape you liked!

Simo:

So, my vision is that of the reborn forest, the vegetation is distinct and perceptible, while the burnt trunks are "fading" and so I saw them "moved" vertically !!

Maybe I did not make the idea .. but I tried to represent this new birth so! :-D

Hi Gianlu,

You do fine to experiment. Time will help you refine these techniques. As for the result, I see it too forceful. Moreover, the move above creates a lot of confusion (there are split trunks). In this kind of photography is not enough for reality, you also have to choose the ideal context for applying the technique. If you are moving vertically, it is best to avoid the inclusion of horizontal trunks. We'll get the next one. :-)
