Se c'è qualcuno che ha lasciato il segno a Barcellona è senz'altro l'architetto Antoni Gaudí (1852-1926). Il suo grande capolavoro è naturalmente la Basílica de la Sagrada Família, famosa in tutto il mondo. Sebbene la sua costruzione ebbe inizio nel 1882, la basilica è tutt'ora incompleta. Infatti, ci vorranno ancora 30 anni circa affinché l'edificio venga completamente terminato.
