Nymphalis Antiopa sent on May 08, 2017 (23:23) by Valma67. 25 comments, 530 views. [retina]

at 400mm, 1/800 f/9.0, ISO 1000, tripod. Specie: Nymphalis antiopa

Hi Renata,
The butterfly they found at Sella Pass is not this .... is a night butterfly that was only found on the alpine arc only at two sites one at Sella Pass.
But this butterfly is a day butterfly (Ropalocero) and belongs to the Nymphalis Antiopa species and, for the standard butterflies in Italy, it is large in size. In Veneto it is present both in the mountains and on the plain but, although not particularly rare, it is not easy to see and consequently to be photographed.
Thank you for your comment.

Hi Joeb, it does not seem to me that the body of the body signals overexposed areas, but, given your photographic experience, there are probably. Thank you for your comment ....

Rhododis, in fact, as this butterfly is not common and usually goes to the trees of the trees, the encounter on the ground must be considered as fortuitous. Thanks for the comment ...
