Spesso, quando si pubblicano foto di vulcani, non è facile percepire bene le reali dimensioni dei coni e di altre strutture presenti su di essi. In questa foto, grazie al fuoristrada parcheggiato in lontananza, si ha una migliore percezione delle proporzioni, in questo caso del Nuovo Cratere di Sud-Est (NSEC). Una bocca apertasi nel 2015 ha ripreso nuovamente attività nel recente periodo e dal fianco del NSEC a più riprese si è verificata una interessante attività stromboliana (che attualmente si è conclusa).
