Milky way over pass sent on May 05, 2017 (15:59) by Lucafamlonga. 39 comments, 1762 views. [retina]

at 16mm, 25 sec f/4.0, ISO 6400, tripod. Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco Emiliano, Italy.

Bella Luca, I like the composition and the great light management! The only thing that personally does not inspire me a lot (but I see it being part of your style) is the slightly magenta / bluish dominant that's all over. I prefer this much to the previous post you posted anyway. Compliments!

A greeting, Leonardo

Leonardo670sv Thanks! Do you think it would be better slightly warmer than hue? Whole shots or just on the earthy component?

I also like a lot, a milky way for a credible time and a good job in general.
The color tone I think is a matter of taste, the light dominant magenta I see it too and, as Leonardo wrote, probably likes you so, I think it would still be good even with small chromatic variations.
Compliments.

Beppeverge: Thank you! On the viable latent route I am happy to not be part of the dream creations that are seen around (de gustibus non disputandum est) On the magenta, which I did not notice too much (maybe because it is actually my taste) but I will try to see with some mild Change if it can be better!

Luca, here is how I would see it better (it's a screen so logically do not look at quality):

Obviously, as Beppeverge said, it is a question of tastes and preferences, for if you are not wrong!

A greeting, Leonardo

Leonardo, interesting .. do you take a bit of magenta going to change the WB? :-)

Yes, I worked a bit on the WB and temperature, along with two levels of curves! Of course I repeat, it's a matter of taste!

Really very beautiful, Luca !! Very good composition and atmosphere. The dominant magenta agree with what was said by Leonardo or at least I tried not to apply the filter (if it comes to filter) to the entire frame, but only for the portion of the sky. I know this place, and whatever you have represented very well. Compliments!

A greeting,
Stefania

Stefania Ginechi: Thanks! For post production of the sky I can never get to where ideally I would then go to trial! Indeed the result of leonardo is interesting! A greeting !

Very beautiful, the best I've seen this week in the group, I only see it a too blue magenta but easily correctable.

Very beautiful composition, to me the blue tonality does not mind at all and I like the contrast with the red light of the inner light at the mast. Compared to the other I prefer because it has less prospective distortion and all the arc of the milky way.

Really great, from EP!
I do not have much criticism to do because I do not know the technique, I just quote the intervention on the magenta dominant suggested by Leonardo.
But there are details on which it is easy to intervene, the base is a really great shot!
