Il grande stupa di Boudhanath dove la grande comunità di tibetani gira intorno per ore con grande spiritualità. A seguito dell'invasione cinese nel 1959, migliaia di tibetani arrivarono in Nepal e questo meraviglioso tempio, costruito molto tempo prima, è diventato uno dei centri più importanti del buddismo tibetano. Oggi, è un importante luogo di pellegrinaggio e di meditazione oltre che per i tibetani anche per i nepalesi stessi. Dichiarato sito Unesco nel 1979.
