A Lace, tra Biella e Ivrea, nella notte tra il 29 e il 30 gennaio 1945, si consumò uno dei tanti eccidi nazifascisti. Dodici eroi, dodici Partigiani, dodici giovani consapevoli del rischio che correvano, vi persero la vita. A tanti anni di distanza ci si trova ancora, senza troppa retorica, a Lace ogni 25 aprile, a scandirne i nomi e a rispondere "presente!". Perché sono ancora con noi con ciò che ci hanno lasciato: la Libertà, la Democrazia, la Costituzione.
