La vetrata di un tempo che fu. La resurrezione di Gesù, luce per tutto il mondo. La vetrata a piombo è un insieme di lastre di vetro, montate su intelaiatura di piombo, il vetro però non contiene piombo. L'intelaiatura è formatata da elementi a U oppure a H. La colorazione dei vetri è ottenuta aggiungendo ruggine, cobalto o rame alle componenti di base (ossido di calcio e carbonato di potassio) o di vetro placcato. Le diverse lastre vengono montate su una griglia provvisoria ed eventualmente pitturate. I particolari più raffinati quali viso e mani si realizzano dipingendo il vetro che poi viene infornato per fonderlo fino ad assorbire la grisaglie (tipo di smalto che da il nome a questa tecnica) A questo punto, le lastre vengono unite con l'utilizzo di piombo e montate sull'intelaiatura. Le vetrate esistono dall'epoca romana e si sono evolute nei secoli grazie alle tecniche di lavorazione del vetro. Pur diffusa in epoca romanica, questa tecnica costruttiva e decorativa raggiunse il suo apogeo con l'architettura gotica. Questa vetrata è una delle tante vetrate che decorano la Basilica gotica di San Martino nella città di Amberga in Baviera. È di fattura abbastanza recente del 1880. Le vetrate originali andarono distrutte dalle cannonate nel 1703 durante la guerra di successione spagnola.
