1/60 f/16.0, ISO 640, tripod.

Moon shot on the evening of April 4, 2017 with the 25 cm newton F5 Giacometti on EQ6SS, SLR Canon 5D3 and focal tripled with a tele-extender photo 3x. Image obtained from home in Montecassiano (MC) 8 overlapping shots taken at ISO 640 and 1/60" time. The white lunar highlands have minerals composed of silicon, calcium and aluminum. The lowlands were formed from massive impact basins. Cracks in the crust allowed lava to flow up and fill in the basins, creating the lunar maria (“seas”). The cooled lava basalts are often rich in titanium, which reflects more blue light, and iron, which reflects in the red. Cristian Fattinnanzi.

Panleo the overlapping of shots is necessary (or recommended) to reduce electronic noise, which as the bass iso would restrict, when it exaggerates the color research can create unsightly artifacts difficult to correct. The process also improves the fineness of the details as air turbulence tends to knead them, the average adi 8 images allows to have what might be considered the result "probable," therefore also in this case we ottienee a better overall cleaning.
The average it can be done with photoshop, by varying the opacity of the levels of 2 images at a time, by setting the upper 50% and proceeding with the results (16-bit) as in the trump tournaments! :-D

Hello, beautiful photos.

Question: I see the shooting details: 1/60 f / 16.0, ISO 640. Why 'f / 16.0? And 'perhaps due Extender but the opening was greater? Also: tips overlap even more iso 'low, say 100 iso? Many thanks and compliments again, hello, Mark.

Thanks to everyone meanwhile!

Fields: it was about the aperture F16 because the telescope was born F5 and applying a duplicator 3x I worked about F15, so I rounded up to provide that data too.
The overlap has always benefits if the shots are all very similar, but it is not always necessary, then it depends on how you want to force on the development.
