actual attack sent on March 22, 2017 (20:24) by Andy 66. 14 comments, 617 views.

, 1/1000 f/5.6, ISO 200, hand held.

hello, very interesting document, if I may venture a theory, you see from the picture, and 'young eagle and often these specimens attack without having a clear idea of ??what they do, they are learning to hunt and learn from the experience, after all, they are still young ... :-D :-D

Thanks Thierry, in fact I thought of something like that, in between the game and an improvised attack.

A greeting.

Beautiful scene taken, maybe it could be that close them there was a carcass and that the Eagle wishing to take advantage without jammers around, however good good timing

Excellent sequence, could also evolve differently.
The eagle does not seem to a young man of the year, for the head and wings too thin, other than those dark and contrasted the young year www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=1733845 .
The white tail I also observed in subjects sub-nesting adults, especially males.
So it seems to me not a rear hatch of exercise, but a genuine attempt, even by talons. The chamois was lying and splashed away immediately. I have witnessed many attacks inconclusive, even adults. They try to see the reaction of the prey, then if they desist perfectly healthy, conversely insist if it shows some weakness.
