Il Raponzolo di roccia (Physoplexis comosa) è uno dei più caratteristici e rari fiori alpini, vegeta nelle zone di gran parte dell'arco alpino. Cresce sulle pareti rocciose e calcaree verticali ed in ombra al di sopra dei 1400 metri. Deve il suo nome alla forma della radice, simile ad una piccola rapa; spesso è chiamato in tedesco "artiglio del diavolo", a causa della sua forma ad artiglio. Il suo periodo di fioritura va da luglio ad agosto. E' stata una bella emozione incontrare lungo il mio cammino questo fiore rarissimo, per fotografarlo ho dovuto arrampicare qualche metro sulla roccia e scattare con una sola mano, mentre l'altra mi teneva aggrappato.
