La difficoltà ed il pericolo principale di scattare sulla spiaggia del Jokulsarlon viene dalle onde molto grandi dell'oceano, dunque bisogna spesso e volentieri scappare da esse stando attenti agli altri blocchi di ghiaccio alle spalle che rischiano di farti ribaltare.
Questo vuol dire solo una cosa...... tante tante bestemmie! :D
I blocchi di ghiaccio che scegli si spostano continuamente, dunque devi ricomporre ad ogni ondata.. sempre se ritrovi i tuoi bei blocchi.
Ora parlo della mia scelta, ovviamente tutto quello che ho descritto è successo anche a me; questo scatto l'ho fatto il secondo giorno che eravamo in quel posto (attendendo l'alba) dunque sapevo già quali fossero le problematiche e li... ho valutato l'idea di utilizzare anche io un tele, come la maggior parte dei fotografi presenti sul posto, al posto del 25 105 ma..... a me piace molto l'ampio angolo di ripresa e sopratutto mi piace "entrare" nella scena.. dunque ho dovuto far ancora avanti e dietro.
In conclusione ho scelto i miei blocchi... e li ho inseguiti stando ad un metro e mezzo circa da loro, componendo però l'immagine cercando di prendere sia il mare che l'onda sotto il treppiedi per avere la massima idea del movimento lasciando "meno importanza" al soggetto preferito da tutti... i ghiacci.. con tanta pazienza ed un pò di fortuna arriva l'onda giusta... quella che avanza abbastanza lentamente per farti capire cosa sta accadendo e che da la possibilità di fare le ultimissime e rapidissime modifiche per poi iniziare a scattare (a raffica.. così da poter scegliere l'attimo giusto).
