A brevissimo spero di avere le conferme del viaggio per andare a vedere i tagliatori di teste !!! E nel frattempo ogni tanto mi riguardo le foto del viaggio precedente. Questa è stata scattata nel bellissimo villaggio di Laju dove vivono i Nocte una piccola ma davvero interessante tribù di ex tagliatori di teste. Gli abitanti vivono in grandi long house, a volte lunghe anche 90 mentri dove l'umo divide la prorpia casa con le mogli ( ognuna ha una sua camera ed una sua cucina ) ed i famigliari piàù stretti: è interessantissimo osservare come a strettissimo contatto convivano generazioni diverse con usi e costumi del tutto differenti. Nella stessa casa è possibile vedere dagli anziani tatauti e con gli abiti tradizionali, ai giovani vestiti all' occidentale e con tanto di moto... La costruzione e la ristrutturazione di queste case è un evento molto interessante da osservare e documentare e che coinvolge tutta la comunità, dagli anziani ai piccini. Sulla facciata della casa ed in alcuni casi nella parete centrale interna, vengono fissate file di crani dei mintun ( dei bovini tipici della zona con grandi corna ) il cui numero è espressione della ricchezza della famiglia.
