Nei sotterranei del castello di San Pietro in Cerro, nel piacentino, è allestita la mostra permanente di 39 statue dei Guerrieri di Xian, fedeli riproduzioni degli originali autenticate dal governo cinese. Le statue di terracotta, di dimensioni naturali, sono schierate proprio come lo erano nel III a.C. quando furono poste a guardia del mausoleo del primo imperatore cinese Qin Shi Huang. La tecnica di fabbricazione è identica a quella impiegata in antichità e consiste nel compattare cerchi di argilla per creare il torace, al quale è poi aggiunta la testa. La struttura è quindi ricoperta di blocchetti di argilla per creare le uniformi, decorata e dipinta. Le figure, oltre ad avere pose differenti e armi specifiche che corrispondono alla loro funzione nell'esercito, mostrano anche tratti fisionomici diversi fra loro.
